JN Solutions AB is responsible for the personal data in Wrigglet (see Contact). We save as little as we can: what the game needs to keep your stats, and nothing for ads or tracking.
What we save
- An account. Everyone gets one when the game loads, a guest account without any name or email. If you sign in with Google, we also get the name and email of your Google account.
- Your player name, the last one you played with, and the name you had when you set your best result.
- Game stats: games, kills, length, time played, power-ups picked up, your best results per week and in each team, the skin you picked and the teams you have played in.
- Purchases. If you buy Wrigglet Supporter, we save that you have it, and the ids Stripe gives the payment. We never see your card or bank details.
While you play, the game server sees your snake's moves and your name, like every other player does. It doesn't save them, only your stats when a life ends. Our hosting (Google Cloud) keeps short technical logs of requests to the servers, which include IP addresses, to find faults.
Why
- To run the game and keep your stats and purchases, which is what you ask for when you play (contract).
- To show the leaderboards, and to stop offensive names and abuse (legitimate interest).
- To keep records of purchases as the law requires.
Your player name and results are shown to other players. Your email is never shown to anyone, and we don't sell or share your data with anyone except the services below.
Who else handles it
- Google (Firebase and Google Cloud) runs the game servers, the sign-in and the database. The game servers are in Finland. Google can process data outside the EU, under the EU's standard contractual clauses and the EUโUS Data Privacy Framework.
- Stripe, through Link, handles payments as the seller. What you enter in the payment form goes to Stripe, not to us, and Stripe's own privacy policy applies to it. The payment form is loaded from Stripe only when you open it.
Storage in your browser
The game keeps your settings, player name and team in your browser's local storage, and Firebase keeps you signed in there. That is only what the game needs to work, so there are no cookies to accept and no tracking.
How long
Your account and stats are kept until you delete your account. Records of purchases are kept for as long as Swedish accounting law requires, which is seven years.
Your rights
- Delete everything: open ๐ Leaderboard and choose Delete account. That removes your account, stats and results from all leaderboards at once.
- You can also ask us what we have saved about you, have it corrected, or object to how we use it. Write to us, see Contact.
- If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
